Award-winning designer Eddie Borgo is driven by an attraction to the timelessness in modern sculpture and shape, and an obsession with capturing this spirit in his work. As each collection evolves, so does his unique ability to redefine our ideas of modernity in jewellery, sculpture and object. In his new collection, the designer reinvents graphic shapes using elements that have come to define the visual identity of the brand. A study in geometric classicism, the pieces explore architecture and form with signature motifs such as the padlock and tassel. Drawing on the minimalist art movement, the studio gives a nod to the beauty of reductive form that began in the 1960s and translated into jewellery as elegant lines and sophisticated cuts at the height of minimalism in the 1970s.
